Immersion in France!

The Immersion Abroad program to France presents students with an opportunity to study the language from inside the culture. The trip is designed to provide an invaluable language experience, reinforced through cultural exposure and discovery.

Please use the information presented here to learn how Immersion Abroad provides students with a significant experience in language study.

Notes on the trip

• This trip is for the serious and independent student who wishes to dramatically improve their spoken French.
• This is not a typical tourist trip which keeps one on the go all the time and prevents one from meeting local people.
• This trip is designed to maximize contact with the natives, the culture, and the country.
• Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this trip:
  • be at least 16 years old
  • have had 3 years of French
  • be mature and independent
  • be willing to study 4hours / day (Mon-Fri 8:45 - 12:45)
  • be willing to live with a family
  • have an interview with the group leader
  • purchase travel insurance and/or have medical insurance
  • provide a reference from a teacher attesting to your maturity, responsibility and trustworthyness
